About Us

The Brantford Hamilton Niagara Sheet Metal Contractors Association is a not – for profit Association. The Association is an accredited bargaining agency with the Ontario Labour Relations Board and represents all Unionized Sheet Metal Contractors working in Brantford Hamilton, Niagara area, that are affiliated with SMWIA Local 537, our Association plays a vital role in advocating for the contractors interests and providing a range of valuable services.

The objectives of the Association are:

to provide leadership and assistance to members of the Association in the sheet metal contracting industry.
to encourage, support and promote the advancement of the unionized sheet metal contracting industry, primarily in the geographic area under the jurisdiction of SMWIA Local 537;
to promote and maintain improved methods of business including safety practices, apprenticeship, and training
to represent the members and non-members who authorize the Corporation to act on their behalf with professional bodies and related associations.
to represent all contractors and/or members whom the Association has the authority to represent in negotiations, general application and administration of labour disputes.
